WHAT IS ECO-DESIGN?

Eurotab has used a Life Cycle Assessment tool developed by independent experts, EVEA, since 2016.

This has been a highly valuable tool for implementing our eco-design approach for  tablets. It allows us to measure the environmental impact of our products from the raw material to the packaging.

With each new eco-designed tablet, we carefully measure four impact criteria that we deem to be priorities. Through changing raw materials and components we can see how to reduce these four impacts thereby enabling us to identify areas for improvement and prioritise our eco-design actions.

Thanks to the LCA tool, the selection made with suppliers and the improvement of powder compression techniques, we have reduced the weight of the All-in-one dishwasher tablets substantially to 12g.

We have also made significant gains in packaging!

Our cardboard boxes are much more compact with a better tablet filling rate. They require 25% less cardboard for a capacity of 75% more boxes per truck.

The aim is to be as compact as possible to reduce our environmental footprint!
