Staff interview

Laura martins, Disinfection Workshop Line Manager

What’s your main task?

« I make sure my machine is working properly to produce compliant tablets. »

How long have you been with Eurotab? In which positions?

« I have been working for Eurotab for 4 years, on the Disinfection site in Saint-Rambert. I started with a one-year temporary contract and then I was taken on, on a permanent basis by Eurotab.

I was asked to come and help out at the Detergents site in Saint-Just Saint-Rambert on two occasions, but always as a Line manager. »

What is your typical day like?

« At the beginning of the shift, a handover is carried out with the previous team to catch up on the current production. Then I check that the line is working properly with the right settings, and I do various checks.

I manage my production line from A to Z: from the supply of components and packaging (jars, caps, etc.) to the monitoring of correct production, including regular weight/hardness checks, not forgetting any necessary repairs.

I work in pairs with a person who packs the pots and makes up the pallet for transport. »

What qualities do you need for this position?

« Rigour, autonomy, assiduity, anticipation, organisation, team spirit, being manual so as to be able to repair your machine quickly and avoid having to go to the maintenance department for things that we can fix ourselves. »

What do you like about Eurotab?

« I appreciate the small, SME-type structure and the great relationship between colleagues. There is good cooperation between the 3 teams which means that when we encounter a problem, it is resolved quite quickly!
I really appreciate the recognition at Eurotab! This is something I missed in my previous experience and it was a pleasant surprise when I arrived here. For example, at our monthly meetings, when we are reminded of the objectives and achievements, we get congratulations, it’s nice for the teams to get a 'thank you', it's appreciated." »

What drives you on a daily basis?

« My colleagues! The working atmosphere is very important to me. It is one of the main reasons for going to work. I also really enjoy what I do, it's motivating. »

What is your greatest pride at work?

« Sometimes I train new employees on the line and I am proud when they tell me afterwards that they are well trained.
When I manage to fix failures, I am really proud of myself when I do it alone! Once I managed to fix a complex problem and even got congratulations from a colleague in maintenance. »

More personally: do you have any hobbies and/or any special interests?

« I like a lot of things, including reading and going to the cinema. I go to the cinema really often. I also like to dance, I used to do salsa.  I like to travel whenever I can. I am also passionate about the Second World War and all the history around it, I would like to go to Auschwitz one day. »
