WHAT’S YOUR MAIN TASK?

« I make the powder before it is made into tablets. »

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH EUROTAB? IN WHICH POSITIONS?

« I joined Eurotab in 2019 on a temporary contract, and was then taken on as a permanent employee. When I arrived, I spent a week on all the production lines to gain an insight into how things work and the challenges involved.

I am also a replacement Team Leader, trainer, forklift operator and palletiser. »

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DAY LIKE?

« When we take over the shift, we do a handover with the previous team.
We prepare our list of required raw materials for the forklift operator to provide us with. We also prepare sample labels as we collect a sample of powder from each finished big bag which is then tested in quality control.
I work in pairs with another powder worker.

I use different tools on a daily basis, mainly computer tools: we have to know them well, it's a big part of the job! We use 2 software programs: one that is also used in production to give the outputs and another to manage our stock returns, inventories, schedules, etc.

The AZO station is a bit like a big kitchen robot that is managed by a specific computer system to carry out the different actions: filling, mixing, emptying.
The cleaning part is done manually. »

WHAT QUALITIES DO YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION?

« You have to be organised, that's the main thing! Conscientious and very thorough too. It's a job where there's a lot of information to remember, and you have to be particularly careful to make sure that everything goes well. The quality of our work impacts on the production afterwards: if a mistake is made in the formula (wrong raw materials, wrong dosage, etc.), the whole tabletting process could be compromised. You also have to like working independently. »

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT EUROTAB?

«The work atmosphere, it's really good, we get on well together, and in the teams! I really like the variety in my job too, obviously we are always preparing powder but the formulas differ every day, they are more or less complex, it's not monotonous. I also appreciate the fact that I was quickly given trust, especially in my advancement as a replacement team leader. What's more, you learn every day: according to Didier, the team manager, "You learn something new even after 15 years with Eurotab!“ »

WHAT DRIVES YOU ON A DAILY BASIS?

« Knowing that we are all going to work together and that things will go well, even if I know that the day may be complicated, it doesn’t discourage me! »

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST PRIDE AT WORK?

« Maybe I'm a bit too modest, I don't really like to talk about pride, more about the satisfaction of what I've managed to achieve beyond the basic objectives.
I’m always looking for ways to do more, to improve things.
As I train newcomers, I still feel a certain pride when they pass the job suitability assessment! I’m proud that others have succeeded and that I was involved in the process. »

MORE PERSONALLY: DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES AND/OR ANY SPECIAL INTERESTS?

« I do mountain biking and boxing. I like extreme sports a lot: Snowboarding, parachute jumping, bungee jumping: I've even done the 182m Gorges du Verdon bungee jump which is one of the highest in Europe!
I need adrenaline, that's what allows me to express myself! »
