BLOG HOUSEHOLD CLEANING

How to clean your home naturally?

When we think of cleaning, we quickly think of chemicals and other cleaning products that are potentially harmful to the planet and our health.  However, there are many natural alternatives that are just as effective and have a reduced environmental impact.

USE PRODUCTS MADE FROM ECO-FRIENDLY INGREDIENTS

Use products made from simple, natural ingredients: bicarbonate, white vinegar, black soap, sodium percabonate, Marseille soap, citric acid... these are unprocessed/lightly processed products with proven effectiveness.

Be careful, however, with dosages and mixtures of these ingredients: you can't improvise yourself as a home chemist, and haphazard mixtures can lead to toxic fumes or burns.

Precautions for use

  • Use detergent products only for their intended purpose and in accordance with the instructions on the label or packaging.
  • Follow dosage recommendations to avoid wastage.

TURN TO ECO-LABELLED FORMULATIONS

Look for eco-labelled formulations (Ecolabel, Ecocert...). Take a close look at the composition of household products, and opt for products based on ingredients of natural origin, fragrance-free formulas and those not labelled corrosive. A golden rule: the shorter the list of ingredients, the better for the planet!

OPT FOR RECYCLED/RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

Choose packaging that is compact, recyclable and/or made from recycled materials (lien page éco-conception partie emballage). Reuse bottles whenever possible. Sprays, for example, can be refilled with solid or liquid doses to be diluted with water, giving your containers a second life.

SWITCH TO BULK BUYING

Bulk packaging is becoming increasingly popular in the food and household products sectors, so now that you've saved your old bottles and other containers, think about refilling them directly in store.

USE THE SOLID FORMAT

Use the solid format and say goodbye to liquids! This format is more responsible by nature:
No water is used in its production

  • Its compact, lighter volume makes transporting it less CO2-intensive.
  • The volume of packaging required is reduced, and it is even possible to eliminate packaging altogether, including single-use plastic.
  • These are just some of the advantages of this format, which is ideally suited to household cleaning products that often require large, single-use plastic containers.

With its 100% solid offer, Eurotab supports its customers in their transition from liquids to solids, and thus limits the environmental footprint of us all!

CHOOSE A WASHABLE VERSION OF YOUR CLEANING TOOL

Traditional sponges can be replaced by more durable machine-washable sponges! In the same way, you can replace disposable paper towels with a washable version, more economical and ecological!

The right thing to do for a natural home

The right thing to do for a natural home: cleaning products made from natural, eco-labeled ingredients in recycled/recyclable packaging, preferably in solid format, and washable cloths and sponges! So embrace the change and lighten your household product cupboards with greener cleaning products!
