The availability of a product in tablet form is becoming closely connected to the method in which the tablet dissolves.
 
In light of this fact, Eurotab Group launched in 2004 a research programme with 3 laboratories :
 

• GEFSOD
• CRPP (Bordeaux)
• TREFLE (Bordeaux)
   

This is the PRECODIS programme. Its goal : to study the impact of formulation and compression on the way in which a product dissolves.

In particular, this programme has enabled to understand the role of surfactants that make a whole tablet dissolves more slowly, when they are incorporated into it.
